    Pad printing machine specific operation process


        1. Adding ink to the etched recessed areas of the printed steel sheet, at which point the beginning of the printing cycle is indicated. Some pad printing machines use an open ink pan, while others use a closed ink cup (the ink cup can reduce the evaporation rate of the ink and is more environmentally friendly). The ink viscosity at this point must be low enough to allow the ink to spread evenly over the surface of the pad printing plate and to enter the recessed etched image area.
        2. Scrape the ink on the raised portion (blank portion) of the pad printing plate with a squeegee to allow the ink to enter the etched concave image area. Since the solvent evaporates quickly, this will cause the ink on the surface in the depressed area of the image to stick more than the ink below.
        3. The pad printing rubber head applies a uniform pressure to the intaglio plate while extruding the air on the intaglio plate. At this time, since the viscosity of the surface layer ink in the recessed portion of the image is large, So the ink can leave the etching depression area and adhere to the pad printing head.
        4. After the pad printing rubber head leaves the pad printing plate, the solvent in the surface ink of the pad printing rubber head evaporates, which makes the ink layer on the surface of the pad printing rubber head become more viscous.
        5. When the surface of the pad printing rubber head contacts the surface of the substrate, the viscosity of the ink on the surface of the rubber head is large, so that the ink leaves the rubber head and adheres to the surface of the substrate. In this step, although the pad printing head can exert a very high pressure, the head is designed to be curved and elastic, so that the image can be in contact with the substrate in a curved manner rather than in a planar manner. In fact, a properly designed transfer head does not form a 0° angle with the substrate, which prevents air from remaining between the pad print head and the substrate. If air remains in the image portion, image transfer may be incomplete. .
        6. The pad printing head leaves the surface of the substrate and is restored to its original state. If the factors involved in these six steps are properly controlled, the pad printing head will leave the substrate cleanly, at which point a complete pad printing process is over and the pad printing head is ready for the next pad printing process. .
